| Cathy Back (Whiddon 1979) Co- President
I started Wenona in the third term of first form in 1974, having transferred from Melbourne where my family had lived for 2 years. I was in Hooke House. I then left Wenona half way through year 10 to join my family in America, where we lived for another 2 years. I returned to Australia ahead of my family to start my final year of school in 1979.
After leaving school I studied a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy at Cumberland College of Health Sciences and then worked as a physio for the next 20 years - in both my own private practices, in hospitals, community health and other people's practices.
In 1999 I 'retired' from Physio and decided to study again so I completed a Diploma of Arts (Graphic Design and Advertising) and then went on to study Web Design. I now run my own Graphic/ Web Design agency in Sydney called Opactiy Design. I built the Wenonians web site in 2006.
I have 3 children, Emily 18, Michael 15 and Amelia 13. Amelia is at Wenona in Year 8 in 2008. I have been on the committee of Wenonians since 2006 and have really enjoyed renewing contact with Wenona. Wenona is a family where everyone is known and where compassion and caring for one another occurs every day. I am delighted to be the Co-President in 2008 with my school friend Mandy Cavenagh with whom I have been at school since Kindergarten! |

Mandy Cavenagh (Ferguson 1979) Co-President
I started Wenona in 1974 in first form as it was then known and left after completing my HSC in 1979. I was a prefect and vice captain of School House.
After leaving Wenona I completed a Science degree at Sydney University, I joined the Commonwealth Bank as a graduate, one of my roles in the Bank was as a trainer where I met my husband Simon. We now have two children, Nicholas – Year 9 at SHORE and Rebecca – Year 8 Wenona, 2008.
I left the Commonwealth Bank after having my children and stayed at home while they were in primary school. I now run my own business Kidz Kitchen, which caters to long day care centres.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and I hope I have won the battle. I am now very proud to be part of the Wenonians Inc committee which aims to support the school that supported me and gave me all the confidence to face the world and all it throws at you with confidence.

Fiona Sutherland ( 2003) Vice President
I started Wenona in 1994 in year 3 and left at the end of year 12 in 2003, having handed over my role as School Vice-Captain.
After school I took a GAP year and travelled to England where I worked full time in the recreational and physiotheraphy departements at the Queen Elizabeth Foundation Brain Injury Centre in Surrey. During my time overseas I was able to travel around the UK, as well as to Paris and Rome.
I returned to Sydney and began a Bachelor of Environmental Management at Macquarie University, before deciding that a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Modern History was more my style.
I joined the committee at the end of 2005 and really enjoy being back in contact with the school. I am currently preparing to go back overseas, this time on student exchange to Roehampton University in London.

Fiona Nix (Corbett- 1981) Secretary
On completing Wenona in 1981, I began studying Science at Macquarie as well as Interior design. A wonderful job opportunity came up in the design industry and so I decided to pursue design over a career in Science. I headed up the interior division of a Sydney based architectural practice in Artarmon and in 1990 took the leap to begin my own practice. Since the conception of Interior Connections, I have managed to juggle being a wife and mother whilst establishing a new business with a hectic work schedule and diverse client base in commercial, hospitality, medical and residential areas.
In between my work commitments, I have enjoyed some wonderful trips, most involving skiing, a passion I share with my husband and children. I have two daughters, Alycia and Juliana, both third generation Wenonians.
I have been on the Committee since 2001 and Joint President since November 2002.

Jennifer Robertson ( 1997) Treasurer
I came to Wenona in 1994 in Year 9. After completing my HSC in 1997, I spent 3 years studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at Sydney Uni and majoring in Accounting and Econometrics. I then spent a year working in accounts at a small marketing company before heading over to UK and Europe for a 3 month travelling holiday.
Upon my return, I started working at RAMS Home Loan, where I am still currently employed and have recently been promoted to the role of Senior Accountant, managing a team of 3 people. I have also completed my CPA during this period, finishing in May 2005.
I joined the Committee in November 2003 as Treasurer and have enjoyed my contact with the school during this period. I have recently become engaged to my partner of 2.5 years and we will be married in spring 2007. |

Lisa-Maree Montgomery (Golding - 1981) Major Functions Coordinator
I began at Wenona in kindergarten and left after 13 years a true Wenonian!
After I completed my HSC, I took off for Paris and lived on the left bank and studied French at the Alliance Francaise school for a year, then travelled around the U.K and Europe.
On my return to Australia I was employed by Qantas Airways as a Passenger Agent for 2 years, then went on to be a Guest Relations Officer at the Regent Hotel in Sydney, Circular Quay. I was in this position for 4 years and loved the interaction with all of the international identities who were guests of the hotel. I was then offered the position of Sales Manager Queensland/Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea for Southern Pacific Hotels and was responsible for looking after the airline and travel industry. This required alot of travel to our hotels and it was a wonderful experience, not to mention the network of people I got to know.
During this time, I met and married my husband and we now have two wonderful daughters, Bianca and Annaleis, both at Wenona.
I have been joint president with Fiona since 2002 and on the committee prior to our current roles. Fiona and I love the fact that we have been together at school and have had the pleasure of working together for Wenonians Inc.
